Nick Cannon reveals he doesn’t provide the mothers of his 12 children with ‘monthly allowance’—here’s why

Nick Cannon, dad of 12, said he does not give monthly allowance to the moms of his children.

The TV host made the revelation in a recent interview on Hot 104.1 by Audacy, which has been carried by online magazine PEOPLE. He explained that while he doesn’t provide his children’s mothers with allowance on a monthly basis, he makes it a point to give them money when they need it.

“It ain’t even about a monthly allowance or amount of money because I don’t give myself that. What they need, they get it,” he said.

"There's never been something that one of the mothers of my children has asked for and they didn't receive, that's why they call me the provider," he continued.

Nick went on to say he has so much respect and admiration for his kids’ moms. “Everybody has their challenges, but when you really understand this woman has given the greatest sacrifice and sacrificed her body to bring a child into [this world], that's the best gift any man could ask for.”

"Regardless of what goes on in any scenario, I'm gonna always show love and respect. I'll never say anything disrespectful or bad about any of the mothers of my children,” he said.

Nick introduced his 12th child to the world in December 2022.

He’s currently in a relationship with model Alyssa Scott, with whom he has welcomed three kids. One of them unfortunately died from brain cancer in 2021.

He also shares twins Monroe and Moroccan with ex-wife Mariah Carey as well as three kids Zion, Zillion, and Zeppelin with Abby De La Rosa. He is also dad to Golden Sagon, Powerful Queen, and Rise Messiah, whom he shares with Brittany Bell; Legendary Love, whose mom is Bre Tiesi; and Onyx Ice Cole with LaNisha Cole.

In an interview on Entertainment Tonight in February, the 42-year-old host said he does not mind having more kids in the future. "God decides when we're done, but I believe I definitely got my hands full—and I'm so focused, I'm locked in. But when I'm 85, you never know. I might." (with reports from ANI)
