Isko Moreno rejoices in being a first-time grandfather: 'It’s a God-given life. It’s a blessing'
Former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno is a grandfather!
The 2022 presidential candidate confirmed the news during an interview with Modern Parenting, wherein he also shared some details of life as a private citizen.
"Isa sa mga blessings ay lolo na ako. Ang pogi ng apo ko," the the 47-year-old shared. In June of 2022, it was rumored that Isko's son, actor Joaquin Domagoso, had welcomed a child with GMA-7 actress Raffa Castro.
"I’m really enjoying it. I’m happy and grateful to God. Of course, I’m happy for Joaquin. Having a child, naturally, will create a certain mindset in terms of priorities," the former mayor added.
Isko added that he doesn't mind being referred to as "lolo" at 47.
“It’s a God-given life. It’s a blessing. Growing up is a challenge and making a better life for everyone, your family, or even your apo is hard," he said.
"But from another perspective, it’s a blessing. Being a grandfather is an opportunity to be happier in the next decade or two in this world."
Domagoso has since been traveling as a private citizen after the results of the June 2022 national elections. He's visited the likes of Singapore, Amsterdam, and Belgium.
