Korean voice actor Lee Woori passes away at 24

Korean voice actor Lee Woori has passed away at the age of 24.

Voice actor Lee Dal Lae revealed on Instagram last Friday that Lee Woo Ri died on March 14.

“To all the fans who love voice actor Lee Woo Ri and remember his acting, I ask that you pray together with us for my colleague Woo Ri to rest comfortably in eternal peace,” she wrote. 

Lee Dal Lae also wrote how “fellow voice actors and the others who knew him are all having a hard time hiding our sorrow at the sudden and tragic news of his death.”

The exact cause of his death was not confirmed. 

Lee Woori was the youngest male voice actor to have been accepted by CJ ENM, debuting for Tooniverse in 2021 at the age of 21. 

Among the shows that he voiced were Case Closed (Great Detective Conan), Crayon Shin-Chan, and The Haunted House.

He also served as the voice for Cyno in the game Genshin Impact, and other games such as the Cookie Run: Kingdom during his three-year career.
