Singer Jake Zyrus didn't mince words in calling out a social media user who deadnamed him and called him a waste.

On Instagram, Zyrus shared a photo of him in the cover of Tatler Asia for June in celebration of Pride month when a commenter wrote, "Sayang boses mo Charice. Bakit si Ice Seguerra trans man pero never binago ang boses. Sayang talaga."

The 32-year-old singer responded to the netizen, saying, "First of all, with respect to my past, keep my deadname out of your silly mouth."

Zyrus explained that Seguerra "hasn't taken any hormone therapy," noting it's a "huge part of being a transman." Still, he noted that "maybe there are more important reasons" why Seguerra hasn’t taken hormone therapy.

"I am not going to explain the rest because based on your comment you sound ignorant. Google is free my darling," Zyrus told the netizen. He added that he's pinning the netizen's comment "because it seems like you love being center of attention."

In another comment, Zyrus noted how the Instagram user supported a trans (Seguerra) and bashed another (himself) because of "birit."

"Yun lang? Make it make sense sis. Hater. Being a transgender is more than just singing high or low notes," he said.

"And the audacity of you to deadname me and properly call Ice his real name. What a joke," he added.

Another social media user came to Zyrus's defense, telling him not to let such people ruin his day, to which he replied that they wouldn't.

"Thank you. Trauma has removed so much of my emotions lol," he said, adding that he doesn't feel pain "no more" and is "completely numb" for some reason.

"So this only mentally bothers me BUT it doesn’t ruin my day," he said. "We won’t stay quiet no more with these kinds of people. I know there’s a lot out there but she got lucky because I had a little time today."

Zyrus identified as a gay woman in 2013. In 2017, he came out as a transgender male after having male chest reconstruction and beginning testosterone treatment.
