Laura Lehmann, Von Pessumal expecting first baby: 'Our biggest dream come true'
Former beauty queen Laura Lehmann and her husband, PBA player Von Pessumal, are expecting their first child together.
The couple made the announcement on social media on Tuesday, Jan. 7, sharing a short clip of them revealing Laura's baby bump and the baby's sonogram.
“Our biggest dream come true :) Surprise everyone,” the Miss World Philippines 2017 captioned their joint Instagram post.
The comments section of their post was filled with love and well wishes from their nearest and dearest.
“[OMG], batchmate! So happy for the both of you,” Megan Young wrote.
“Huhuhu I am so happy for you guys! Congrats uli, Lau and Von! Excited na kami makita si Baby Pessumal nila Luna,” Winwyn Marquez commented.
“Congratulations!” professional basketball player Ray Parks wrote.
“Congrats, Lau and Von!” Von’s teammate, Aljon Mariano, commented.
Laura and Von started dating when they were still studying at the Ateneo de Manila University. At the time, Laura was the university’s courtside reporter, while Von was among the players for Ateneo Blue Eagles.
They announced their engagement in May 2020 after five years of dating, and officially tied the knot in a civil wedding a year later.
