Ryu Hwa Young to marry businessman boyfriend
Ryu Hwa Young is getting married!
The South Korean actress announced that she is set to marry her businessman fiancé in September.
"With excitement and certainty, we have chosen to walk the same path together. Beyond love, we have decided to become everything to each other," she wrote in her Instagram post on April 1.
"September 12, 2026. We are getting married," she added.
She also expressed her gratitude to her fans for their support.
"I also take this opportunity to share my gratitude with those I was unable to thank personally. I would appreciate your warm support as we move forward on this journey," she added.
Before this, Soompi reported, citing local sources, that someone close to the couple revealed that Ryu and her fiancé, a businessman three years older than her, had recently decided to get married. The ceremony will be a private affair attended only by family and close friends.
Ryu debuted as a K-pop idol under the girl group T-ara in 2010. She left the group in 2012 following a scandal that involved bullying allegations made by her co-members.
She later started acting, and has played roles in dramas and movies, including Hello My Twenties, Mad Dog, Ex-Girlfriends’ Club, Come Back Alive, and Exist Within.
