From their silly photos and videos to their comical Viber chats, anyone would see that the 32-year-old actor is not only a father to 10-year-old Ellie but more so, a best friend.
Recently, Jake posted two photos of him and his daughter in a candy store while they are on a vacation in Europe. The first photo shows his daughter giving him a stern look, while the next image shows him grabbing a scoop of candy from the booth.

Further proving that Jake and his daughter share the same wit is this moment when Ellie told her dad she saw Olympic gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz in person. Jake thought it was a cool moment for his daughter and asked if she could get him an autograph of the famous athlete. To which, the 10-year-old unapologetically replied, "No."
Another instance where the 10-year-old proved that she's one who takes no nonsense was when he called out his dad for "always [being] with someone." Their quick convo was posted by Jake on his Instagram Stories and showed him asking his daughter, "Morning! Guess who I'm with."
Ellie, as real as she can be, replied, "Ur always with someone."
Being cool and witty surely runs in the family, as seen on Jake's goofy Instagram post in 2018. Here, he and Ellie are seen posing for the camera with chips in their mouths. "Plotting big things," the actor captioned the post.
His daughter's humor has always been something that Jake has been fond of, as seen on his Instagram Story that dates back to over four years ago. Here, Ellie can be seen standing behind the glass panel of an establishment, with Jake quoting her as saying, "Look, Dad! I'm gonna be a statue."
Showing how he adores his child even in the simplest moments, Jake added this text to his post: "Thank God I've a silly one."
Jake and his former girlfriend Andi Eigenmann welcomed Ellie on November 23, 2011. While the actress was mum about the identity of Ellie's father for a long time, her sister Maxene revealed that Jake is the child's dad during an interview with DJ Mo Twister in September 2016.
The actor confirmed the news during his acceptance speech at the Star Awards for Music and Television in that same year. "To my number one inspiration, my princess, my Ellie... This is for you," Jake said on stage.
