Juan Karlos teases new songs, TV series, world tour, and more for 2024

There's a lot to look forward to this year with multi-platinum singer-songwriter Juan Karlos Labajo!

In a series of messages posted to his Instagram official broadcast channel, "life updates," the Ere singer shared some news on his upcoming projects for the year including a Bisaya song with Kyle Echarri.

"Mag-release ako ng song with Kyle baka this month tapos bisaya song siya haha exciting sana magustuhan ninyo," he wrote.

Without mentioning the artist's name, JK also shared that he will release a collab song with "one of the most favorite female artists in the country."

Aside from these, the actor-singer revealed that he is set to release part two of his smash-hit record, Sad Songs and Bullshit Part 1, noting that the second installment of the piece will be more about "happy songs."

"Tapos release ng part 2 ng Sad Songs and Bullshit, mga medyo happy songs naman tipong naka-move on hahaha jusko tagal ko nang naka-move on so dapat ma-release na yung mga songs ASAP," he said.

The local singer also shared in an interview with Billboard Philippines that the part of the album is "going to focus more on the process of healing, acceptance, and self-love."

JK, who also starred in the hit Pinoy teen drama television series Senior High, promised his fans that they would see him in a TV series and a movie in 2024.

"Tapos baka mag-join ako sa isang tv series soon, finalizing lang," the 22-year-old singer said.

"Then may movie," he added while saying he will also embark on a jamming session with Pinoys abroad in Canada, the US, and other countries.

"Tapos after ng shoot nun, baka pumunta kami ng Canada, US and other countrise na fina-finalize pa namin para makipag-jam sa mga kababayan natin doon."

In case you didn't know, JK announced in December on his IG broadcast channel that he would have a "big local performance" alongside an impending international tour.

"World tour na tayo next year," he said.

JK continued, "Tapos baka siguro mag-major concert [next year] since 10 years na'ko sa industry next year," alongside a poll asking fans to choose between the Araneta Coliseum and Mall of Asia Arena for the event place.

The Voice Kids alum also recently dropped his first official Christmas single, Maligayang Pasko, along with a music video from a live performance in November of last year.

Meanwhile, his album's lead track, Ere, became a huge hit on the local and international charts, earning him the first Filipino artist to debut on prestigious charts throughout the globe, including Billboard's Global (Exc. US) Chart.

As for happenings in the near future, the Buwan singer will be performing in the next Bobapalooza Music and Arts Festival, which will take place at the Filinvest City Event Grounds in Alabang, Metro Manila, on February 24 and 25.
