Pinay singer Gwyn Dorado advances to Top 16 after soulful performance on 'Sing Again 4'

Filipino singer Gwyn Dorado earned her spot in the Top 16 after she wowed the Korean judges again with her soulful performance on Sing Again 4.

Dorado, who is Contestant No. 59, performed One Late Night in 1994 by Jang Hye-jin during her match against Contestant No. 23 Sanha.

Judge Lee Hae-ri praised her performance, saying, "This song requires a very solid bass and powerful high notes. You really used all of your skills in today's song."

"She didn't just scream high notes, she expressed all the dynamics of the high notes and conveyed her emotions 100%," she added, per YouTube's English translation.

Singer Yoon Jong-shin echoed this, saying, “The producer's dreamlike voice has appeared. I feel like I've met another big-name singer." 

Dorado won against Sanha with five votes from the judges, with Sanha getting three. While the latter lost, she still moved to the next round due to an extra pass by the judges.

The 16 contestants who reached the fourth round are: Gwyn Dorado (59), Sanha (23), Kong Yoojin (17), Kyuri (18), Lee Sangwoong (19), sEODo (26), Seohee (27), Choi Jeong-cheol (28), Darin (30), Kim Jae-min (37), Han Seong-il (44), Lee Young-hoon (55), Gongwon (61), Lee Oh-wook (65), Kim Jong-han (76), and Kim Ye-chan (80).
