Nicole Scherzinger and Tom Cruise are among the latest additions to the star-studded lineup of artists in the FIFA World Cup 2026 closing ceremony.

The Top Gun: Maverick star is set to make a special appearance during the pre-match festivities, following his appearance at the closing ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. EGOT winner Jennifer Hudson will perform the host nation's national anthem.

Scherzinger, as well as Robbie Williams and Laura Pausini, are also set to perform.

“Grateful to be part of this unforgettable celebration,” Scherzinger, who is part of the Pussycat Dolls, said in her Instagram Stories on July 15. “A true honor! See you soon #FIFAWorldCup." Sports streamer IShowSpeed is among those expected to join the closing ceremony.

For the first time in men's World Cup history, the final will include a halftime show featuring performances by Madonna, K-pop superstar BTS, and Justin Bieber.

The closing ceremony will be on July 19 (early morning of July 20, Philippine time) at New York New Jersey Stadium.

Described as a "landmark celebration at the intersection of sport, music, and global impact," the halftime show will also feature performances by Burna Boy, the PS22 Chorus with Coldplay, and acclaimed Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel.

Also joining the historic spectacle are beloved characters from Sesame Street and The Muppets.

Only four of the original 48 teams remain in contention at the 2026 FIFA World Cup: Argentina, England, France, and Spain. France and Spain will face off on July 14 at Dallas Stadium in Arlington, Texas, while England takes on Argentina on July 15 at Atlanta Stadium in Georgia.
