Sam Milby confirms breakup with Catriona Gray: 'We are okay. Wala kaming problema'
Sam Milby has confirmed that he and Catriona Gray have broken up.
At the sidelines of the media conference for the series Saving Grace, MJ Felipe of ABS-CBN News asked the actor directly if they're still together.
"No," he said.
He, however, noted that all is well between them. "We are okay. Wala kaming problema."
The actor said that he and the Miss Universe 2018 titleholder have "always been private" about their relationship. "We share certain things nung na-engage kami, but in terms of the details, and buhay namin, we haven't really shared."
Milby also clarified that there was no third party in their relationship. "There was never a third party sa amin ni Cat. That needs to be cleared. There is no truth to it at all," he said.
He also cleared the name of Moira Dela Torre, who was accused of being involved in their split, and warned the public against believing what they see online. "Please mag-ingat kayo sa mga nakikita niyo sa online," he said. "If there's no evidence, 'wag niyong paniwalaan yung nakikita nyo because in this incident, there's absolutely no truth to it at all."
Milby noted that she and Dela Torre were close friends before. "Sobrang close kami before, and I guess people wanted to connect our closeness to may nangyari sa amin," he said.
He, however, shared they're no longer friends without elaborating why. "It's an issue that's really sensitive," he said.
Milby and Gray went public with their relationship in 2020. She announced their engagement in February 2023.
But in February 2024, they sparked breakup rumors after Gray was spotted without her engagement ring in her photos. Early in May of that year, her post about their engagement was no longer on her Instagram page. During Milby's 40th birthday celebration later that month, fans noticed Gray was absent, fueling the breakup rumors more.
Milby and Gray were recently spotted at TJ Monterde's concert, though they were seats away from each other.
