How much does Song Hye-kyo earn per episode of 'The Glory'?
Song Hye-kyo's character in The Glory, Moon Dong-eun, must be earning loads of money from her seemingly endless streams of income. Otherwise, how else would she be able to carry out her lifelong revenge plot?
While we don't know how much the bullied protagonist really makes, we can answer how much Hye-kyo earns per episode of her hit Netflix K-drama series.
Korean reporter Ahn Jin-yong in a YouTube video revealed how much Korean actors and actresses were estimated to have been paid per project.
The said reporter first revealed that actors earn more than actresses.
Stars like Song Joong-ki, Lee Jong-suk, and Ji Chang-wook receive around 300 million Korean won (around P13.121 million) per episode for a television drama.
He then added that actresses Song Hye-kyo and Jun Ji-hyun receive around 200 million Korean won (around P87.4 million) per episode.
However, the reporter said that Hye-kyo could be exceeding the 200-million Korean won mark with The Glory, given the series' popularity. He noted that he expects the actress to receive even more for any upcoming project.
Some of Hye-kyo's notable works are Descendants of the Sun; Autumn In My Heart; That Winter, the Wind Blows; and Encounter.
The Glory "follows a young woman who takes vengeance on her high school bullies," according to the Netflix synopsis.
Part 2 of the show will air on March 10.
