We have a new Miss Grand Philippines queen!

CJ Opiaza of Castillejos, Zambales won the highly coveted crown at the 2024 pageant held on Sunday, Sept. 29 at Newport Performing Arts Theater in Pasay City, succeeding Nikki de Moura.

She was followed by Anna Margaret Mercado of Quirino, who was named Miss Teen International Philippines, and Sophia Bianca Santos of Pampanga, who won Universal Woman Philippines.

Opiaza also won five special awards at the competition, including Best in Swimsuit, Miss Photogenic, Miss Multimedia, Miss Aqua Boracay, and Miss Mestiza.

She was a consistent frontrunner in the tilt and was even the top pick of pageant experts like Missosology and Sash Factor ahead of the coronation night.

With her win, the beauty queen is set to represent the Philippines to the Miss Grand International pageant, which will take place in Bangkok, Thailand on Oct. 25.

Opiaza is a pageant veteran who previously joined Binibining Pilipinas 2022. She was also among the candidates of Miss Universe Philippines 2023, where she won first runner-up.
