After years of staying away from the limelight and moving to Siargao, Andi Eigenmann is now set to tick off another entry on her bucket list with her fiancé Philmar Alipayao. This summer, the couple is focused on achieving one dream: opening a surf school.

Andi gave her viewers snippets of the ongoing construction of the surf school, called Kanaway, in her latest Youtube vlog uploaded on April 5.

Proud about this milestone, she also showed how Philmar is hands-on in putting up the business which, she said, has been a long-time dream for her beau.

“Finally, he’s been dreaming of putting up a surf school and a surf shop and ngayon nag-partner up na siya with Mang Karding of Kanaway Surf School to re-open Kanaway together this time,” she said noting that the construction has been ongoing for two weeks and that viewers can expect for the school to be ready in time for Holy Week.

Kanaway Surf School was known as one of the go-to training centers for tourists who would like to learn the sport years before Typhoon Odette hit the island. This time, it looks like the school is having a new boss in Andi's fiancé Philmar.

The actress added that while Philmar is busy managing his dream business, she, on the other hand, will manage Kanaway Snack Bar beside the school. It's where surfers can stop by and purchase "pre and post refreshers and snacks."

The business, as Andi said, not only marks the fulfillment of their dream but will also be of big help to surf instructors as tourism is the main source of livelihood on the island.

In December 2021, Siargao was devastated by Typhoon Odette which caused the #HappyIslanders to leave their home island for a while and reside in Manila, now that they are back in Siargao, the family is back to "regular programming."
