Andrea Brillantes says Ricci Rivero failed to mention an important detail of their split in viral interview
Andrea Brillantes claimed that Ricci Rivero didn’t tell the whole story of their breakup in his viral interview with “King of Talk” Boy Abunda.
DJ JhaiHo recently detailed his conversation with the actress in a TikTok video on Saturday, July 1. “I texted Blythe, si Andrea. Close kami. Tinanong ko, ‘Blythe, what’s true? Anong nangyayari? Kasi I want to know kung tama ba ‘yung mga chika ni Ricci sa kanyang interview,’” he began.
“Sabi ko, ‘Ano ang totoo? Naloloka na ako sa mga nakikita ko,’” he recalled. “Sabi ni Andrea, ‘LOL. Nakalimutan niya atang sabihin na hubad kong nadatnan ‘yung girl.’”
“Sabi, ‘Hubad sa kuwarto niya. Tulog siya—hindi daw nila alam ‘yung nangyari. Lasing sila, hindi niya minention. Marami pa siyang hindi minention,” he added.
Andrea did not specify the name of the woman she caught her ex-boyfriend with. “Tinanong ko pa nga kung sino yung girl. Feeling ko, hindi na para pag-usapan ni Blythe. Hindi niya naman na sa akin sinagot,” said the radio personality.
In a guest appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda in late June, Ricci confirmed he and Andrea have called it quits in the first week of May. He said it was due to mounting problems and not a third party in the relationship.
The basketball player also talked about the viral photos showing a woman in his residence. Andrea reportedly went to Ricci's place and saw the woman in question there.
Ricci explained that the woman was a companion of his friend, who was about to arrive later in the day.
"Ilang beses naman po namin pinag-usapan ito, as in sobrang daming beses na sinabi ko sa kaniya with all the evidence I have," he said.
"May papunta akong friend ng midnight tapos hindi ko naman alam na may kasama siya tapos ‘yun ‘yung naabutan niya (Andrea) that time," he added, noting Andrea believed him and they were still okay afterward.
Ricci and Andrea became official on April 9 last year, when he asked for her hand in court after the University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons won against the Far Eastern University Tamaraws.
They sparked breakup rumors in May, with some netizens speculating that beauty queen turned politician Leren Bautista was involved in their split as they were spotted celebrating his birthday by distributing food packs to constituents.
Ricci cleared the councilor's name in the same interview. "Wala pong kinalaman si Councilor Leren," he stressed, adding that since he's a college freshman, he does outreach programs every year.
