SB19 officialy debuts own company, 1Z Entertainment
SB19 is not just conquering stages but more so, building some, as the P-pop group has officially launched its own company, 1Z Entertainment.
During a live session on SB19's official YouTube channel, the all-male group talked about the inspirtation behind its latest achievement, which they officially introduced on Sunday, Oct. 2.
“Pinapride namin tong 1Z Entertainment. Isa ito sa biggest achievements namin in life. Officially, today inaannounce na namin yung debut ng 1Z Entertainment,” Pablo said.
"Siguro five years ago when SB19 was just starting, together we had a dream. That dream was to have Filipino music, Filipino talent, the whole Filipino culture to be pinned onto the world map. Sobrang laking pangarap noon para sa amin and we felt like a lot of people din na nakapaligid sa amin, they think that the dream was so big na they feel like we couldn't achieve it," he added.
"Alam niyo naman po na we built our company before. It's called 1Z Entertainment. Finally tonight po officially magde-debut na si 1Z," added Justin as they unveiled the 1Z Entertainment logo which they also posted on social media.
Apart from the logo, the group further explained the concept of their company's name in a social media post, saying, “1Z is a play of the word - zone. ‘THE ZONE’ is our dojo where we work on ourselves and our talents and ‘IN THE ZONE’ is our state of being where we put our 100% in everything we do."
"This company was built and inspired by SB19’s key message ‘to get you in the zone and break the norm,” the group added.
It noted that with their recently launched company aims to "hone breakthrough artists who express their limitless creativity and passion the groundbreaking music, arts, and entertainment in an ecosystem that we call - the zone."
Aside from this, Pablo also emphasized their desire to "challenge everything that we see in this industry” in their YouTube livestream.
"Sometimes nabi-view pa kami na nagmamagaling kasi gusto namin ay hands-on kami sa lahat nang ginagawa namin kaya siguro ganun. In truth, we were just so focused on our goal, on the vision that we want to achieve. That's why we couldn't just blindly follow the things that we were told to do... Since this is also our future, gusto namin hands-on kami sa ginagawa namin," Pablo explained.
In June, SB19 announced that they are now self-managed under 1Z Entertainment
“Kami ‘yung P-pop group na nag-transition from artists to self-managed,” Stell said.
“It all started as a crazy idea during trainee days. Nagbibiruan kami na ‘Balang araw, gagawa tayo ng sarili nating company, our own management.’ We’ll [choose] the people na pinagkakatiwalaan namin,” Josh added.
ShowBT Philippines used to manage SB19 before the group established 1Z Entertainment.
