Bianca Gonzalez embraces bodily imperfections as she turns 40
With age comes the inevitable bodily changes, but Bianca Gonzalez is here to accept them all with confidence as she celebrated her 40th birthday on March 11.
Two days after reaching the big 4-0, the TV personality shared a picture of herself on Instagram, flaunting her raw self with no makeup to hide her stains and no styling to make her appear more beautiful.
According to Bianca, she wanted her photoshoot with celebrity photographer BJ Pascual to highlight her acceptance of all of her body’s flaws and imperfections.
"I've been modeling since I was 17 years old and so every professional photo I’ve had has me in full make up, hair, and styling. I loved doing all that, yes! But I've long wanted to have a very raw portrait of me," she wrote. "I was never really sure if I could pull it off. Baka mamaya, I’d set up this fancy shoot, only to have photos I’m not happy with."
She went on, "I’ve been proud of my morena skin for many years, yes, but it’s only now that I’ve fully embraced and accepted all my body’s flaws and imperfections, peklats, dark knees and all."
While she confessed that there were times when she still felt conscious about her blemishes, she emphasized that she no longer beats herself up for it.
"In this stage of my life, I feel confident to step in front of a lens with no make up on my face. Literally, just me," Bianca underscored. "The reason I want to have these portraits taken is not just because I fit a certain standard of what is “beautiful” in my mind. It’s really because I am truly, genuinely happy."
A few days before her special day, Bianca treated herself by getting her first pair of tattoos, where she had the names of her daughters—seven-year-old Lucia and four-year-old Carmen—inked on both of her arms.
"Last weekend, got to check off an item from my bucketlist before my 40th," she wrote on her Instagram story.
