Park Bom’s agency addresses singer's post alleging unpaid profits from YG Entertainment
2NE1 member Park Bom's agency, D-Nation, has stated that the singer's claims of unpaid settlements from her former agency, YG Entertainment, are not true.
On Oct. 22, Park reportedly posted a photo of what she claimed to be a police report against YG Entertainment founder Yang Hyun-suk.
The image showing a paper titled “Letter of report" was posted on Instagram and has since been deleted. It was captioned, “Park Bom hates YG. Everyone, please investigate what YG did to Park Bom.”
In the complaint, which was in Hangul and translated by Korea JoongAng Daily, Park alleged that Yang failed to pay "1002003004006007001000034 '64272e trillion won of money" generated from "music, performances, television apperances, advertisements, events, songwriting, and composing."
“The plaintiff suffered from immense damages, both mental and economic, and the act is classified as apparent fraud,” the letter further read.
In response to Park's post, D-Nation released a statement clarifying that YG Entertainment had already settled all payments with the singer.
“There is no truth to the claim that a lawsuit uploaded on social media has been received,” the agency stated.
“Park Bom has suspended all her activities and is currently focusing on treatment and recovery. Our company will do our best to help the artist regain her health,” they added.
Park has been on hiatus from 2NE1-related activities since August due to health reasons.
2NE1 is also composed of CL, Sandara Park, and Minzy.
