'Capsicum energy': Anne Curtis flexes new red hair and abs in 10-year-old crop top

Anne Curtis' new daring look is giving "capsicum" all the way!

The It's Showtime host blessed everyone's Instagram feed as she posted a series of pictures debuting her new hairstyle colored in fiery red. In the caption, she joked that she's radiating "capsicum energy," which is a nod to a trending moment of her and Vice Ganda during their noontime show in 2017.

In case you need a refresher, the two of them were talking about the classic Filipino dish menudo where Anne suddenly mentioned capsicum, which confused Vice.

"Capsicum," Anne said. "Ano?" Vice asked her. "Ano 'yun?"

"Red peppers," the 39-year-old actress answered.

"Arte mo! Wala namang ganyan sa karinderya namin. Baka mapa-away pa ako. Baka mabatukan ako," the comedian joked.

Along with her fierce hairdo, Anne also put her abs front and center as she wore a gray and yellow crop top that she had in her wardrobe for several years now.

"Kinda cool that I’ve been wearing this top for about 10 years now," Anne wrote.

In the comments section, many of her fans showered her with praise for her latest look.

"My definition of perfect," one user wrote.

Another one commented, "Anne owning the Capsicum Era and Capsicum Energy."

The local star's toned physique comes as no surprise as Anne is known to be a fitness enthusiast, with her trainer Gabb Rosario telling PhilSTAR L!fe in a previous interview that she trains five times a week and does core exercises such as sit-ups, leg raises, twists, planks, and V-ups, among others to tone and strengthen her abs in particular.

Anne recently turned another year older on Feb. 17. Her husband, Erwan Heussaff, prepared a very special and meme-worthy surprise for her when he shared a recipe for menudo "with lots of capsicums."

"Mmm," he said as he tasted the dish. "My wife's a genius. That's actually really good. If you guys wanna see me do a whole cookbook on Anne Curtis' recipes, let me know."
