After three years, Kris Aquino reunites with former 'Kris TV' colleague Darla Sauler
Kris Aquino was visited in the hospital by her long-time friend and former Kris TV head writer Darla Sauler after not seeing each other in person for three years.
On April 6, Sauler posted a photo of their reunion on Instagram, which also included Aquino's sons Josh and Bimby.
"Missed you so much @krisaquino, Kuya Josh, and Bimb! Ang saya na finally nakabisita na sa'yo," she wrote.
Despite not seeing each other for almost three years, Sauler and Aquino maintained their friendship by talking to each other almost every day.
"Halos three years kaming di nagkita ni Krisy, pero halos araw-araw naman kaming magkausap. Ganun talaga pag yung ka-trabaho mo, nagtitiwala sa'yo at tinatrato kang kaibigan... Eventually, managing pamilya talaga kayo."
Sauler added that she got especially emotional over seeing Aquino's sons. "Literal kong nasubaybayan ang paglaki [nila,]" she said.
The Queen of All Media was recently diagnosed with erosive gastritis and gastric ulcer, after revealing she had Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria, an autoimmune disease, in 2018.
Sauler and Aquino worked together on the morning talk show Kris TV from 2011 to 2016. After four and a half years of broadcast, it ended in 2016 due to Aquino's health conditions.
The former Kris TV writer went on to work on Magandang Buhay, which took over the morning show's time slot.
