Jodi Sta. Maria earns praises for adopting stray cat she found at airport
As Jodi Sta. Maria's recent trip in Japan ended, not only did she come back home with a trove of souvenirs and memories, but she also came back with a new fur baby to care for.
On Instagram, the Broken Marriage Vow actress revealed that she has adopted a stray kitten that she found wandering around the terminal of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), sharing that she heard the poor animal meowing his heart out as if asking for help and food.
"Nakita ko siya na nababangga ng cart ng mga pasahero. Lost in space siya sa chaos ng airport. I asked for a plastic bag at nilagay ko siya sa loob tapos nilabas ko yung head niya then isinakay sa van," Jodi recounted.
Accmpanying her post with pictures of their adorable moments together, Jodi wrote that she named her new furry companion "Naia" (pronounced as Na-ya) in reference to the titular airport where she had found him.
She went on to share that Naia has now been cleaned, dewormed, and had his nails trimmed at a trusted veterenary clinic.
Many of her supporters showered her with praise for rescuing the lost kitten and giving him a warm and loving home.
"Thank you so much Ms. Jodi for bringing the helpless Naia to your home. God Bless you more than you deserve. Swerte niya sa'yo. My heart is happy. Hope more strays pa ang marescue and mabigyan ng chance," one user commented.
