KaladKaren shuts down breakup rumors: 'Ako pa rin si Mrs. Jervi Wrightson'

Published Mar 01, 2025 1:59 pm

TV host KaladKaren put rumors on her relationship to rest as she confirmed that she and her husband Luke Wrightson are still together.

"Ako pa rin si Mrs. Jervi Wrightson," the Drag Race Philippines judge said at the end of the Feb. 28 Frontline Pilipinas broadcast.

Anchor Julius Babao told the Drag Race Philippines host that viewers were "concerned" about her love life.

Speculations of KaladKaren and Luke's split made the rounds online as social media users reacted to the TV host's TikTok lip-syncing to Ariana Grande's heartbreak song We Can't Be Friends.

They also noticed that some of their photos together were gone from her Instagram page.

However, KaladKaren assured that they haven't broken up.

"Lilinawan ko lamang po yung issue tungkol samin ni Luke. Our marriage is not perfect. Katulad ng ibang couples, siyempre may misunderstandings, merong challenges, at hindi rin po nakakatulong na minsan hindi kami magkasama kasi Luke is working abroad," she said.

"But for 13 years, sinubok na po kami ng panahon at araw-araw, pinipili naming mahalin ang isa't isa so kami pa rin po. We're still together. Wala po kaming problema ni Luke. Masaya po kaming mag-asawa."

Luke arrived in the Philippines yesterday, she shared.

The TV host also explained her TikTok, saying that she just "felt" like posting it on that day.

Meanwhile, her Instagram feed is being curated by her management for work, KaladKaren explained.

"Napagtagpi-tagpi nalang ng mga netizens 'yung kwento. Tapos may gumagawa pa ng fake news, fake videos na ni-splice 'yung mga dating vlog nilalagay yung umiiyak ako dun sa issue," the Drag Race Philippines judge said.

"The moral of the story: We have to be responsible of the content we receive and consume. Mag-ingat po tayo sa fake news. Let's mind our own business."

She added that Luke found the speculations funny.

KaladKaren and Luke met in Hong Kong in 2012 while she was on holiday. They continued to talk online after meeting, and three months later, Luke came to visit the TV personality in the Philippines.

The pair first got engaged in 2020 after eight years of being together. Luke popped the question anew in July 2024 in London.

The two officially tied the knot in England on Sept. 8.
