Rachelle Ann Go to reprise role as Fantine in 'Les Misérables' in Europe, Australia tour
Rachelle Ann Go is set to reprise her role as Fantine in Les Misérables in Europe and Australia tour.
The production has announced the new cast for Les Misérables: The Arena World Tour, which will run in Europe and Australia in 2025.
Rachelle will reprise her role as Fantine, which she will alternate with English actress Katie Hall. Also joining the cast are Peter Jöback and Milan van Waardenburg, who will alternate for the role of Jean Valjean, the main character of the play.
According to Les Misérables' official website, the Filipina actress will perform in Sydney from April 30 to May 11, in Melbourne from May 14 to 25, and in Brisbane from May 28 to June 1, 2025. More dates and venues will be announced soon.
Fantine is portrayed as a prostitute struggling to support her daughter, Cosette, after she was abandoned by her lover.
Rachelle previously played the role in the Les Misérables tours in the UK, Ireland, and London during the 30th-anniversary concert in 2021. In 2015, she won the BroadwayWorld UK Award for Best Female Performance in a Long-Running West End Show.
The Filipina theater actress also previously played Eliza Hamilton during the Hamilton international tour, which included a Manila stop that ran from September to November 2023.
She also played Gigi in Miss Saigon in West End in 2014 and on Broadway in 2017.
