Herlene Budol reacted to some social media users’ speculations that she faked her now-viral fall during the 2024 GMA Gala.

In a tweet, the actress noted that “accident[s] always [happen].”

“‘Pag [na]dapa, [h]indi pinagtatawanan. Accident[s] always [happen],” she wrote on X. “Sa palagay nyo ba, gusto ko madapa?”

“Lahat ng tao, nadadapa, naaaksidente. Ang importante, safe at ‘di nasugatan,” she added.

Herlene also reposted a video of the incident on her X page. “Sa buhay, kapag nadapa ka, bumangon ka. Hangga’t may buhay, may pag-asa,” she wrote in her post.

The local star made the rounds online with a clip of her falling off the stage while walking the runway at GMA Gala 2024, which was held at the Marriott Grand Hyatt Ballroom on Sunday, July 21.

The actress wore a Leo Almodal number dubbed “Birth of Venus.” Inspired by a Sandro Botticelli painting, the creation “depicts the goddess Venus arriving at the shore after her birth, when she had emerged from the sea fully-grown,” as stated on her Instagram post.

The annual gala is a fundraiser for the GMA Kapuso Foundation. Beauty queens, influencers, celebrities, and network executives attended the recently concluded event that marked its third edition.
