Ben&Ben's Paolo Benjamin Guico is now engaged
"I'm here to face tomorrow with you as it comes." Ben&Ben frontman Paolo Benjamin Guico on Jan. 23 announced that he's engaged to his non-showbiz girlfriend, Maria Rachel.
On Instagram, the singer shared a video of his proposal, which was set to their song Tomorrow With You.
It also has the text, "POV: she said yes."
In the video, the couple can be seen heading to a garden venue before reaching the gazebo, where Maria playfully pushes him. It cuts to them having an intimate conversation as Guico gets down on one knee to pop the question.
They hug each other and Maria shows her engagement ring to the camera.
"tomorrow with you my dear. thank u for saying yes," Guico wrote in the caption.
Last December, Guico took to Facebook to celebrate their third anniversary. Calling Maria his "teammate," "inspiration," and "source of strength," he thanked her for "reaching my deepest layers, and loving me for who I am."
"I wanna face tomorrow with you, as it comes," he said, referring to their song Tomorrow With You.
His Ben&Ben bandmates congratulated him in the comments section.
"LETSGOOOOOOO," Guico's twin and fellow frontman Miguel Benjamin said.
"Fave part ko yung may pagtulak haha cute nyooooo," bassist Agnes Reoma said.
“Ang classic naman nung tulak hahahahaha congrats guys!!” pianist Pat Lasaten, Reoma's partner, said.
Other personalities like Marian Rivera, Zild Benitez, Moira dela Torre, and Inka Magnaye also gave the newly engaged couple their well-wishes.
Guico's engagement announcement came two months after his bandmates Lasaten and Reoma got married in Los Angeles.
Ben&Ben is a nine-member folk-pop band. It's known for the hits Kathang Isip, Araw-Araw, Pagtingin, Sa Susunod na Habang Buhay, and Leaves.
