Another idol is going on a hiatus.

Jeonghan of the K-pop boy group SEVENTEEN is set to enlist in the military.

According to a report by Korean entertainment website Soompi, PLEDIS Entertainment announced that Jeonghan’s upcoming military enlistment will be on Sept. 26. Hence, the K-pop idol will not be participating in any promotional activities for the group.

"Hello. This is PLEDIS Entertainment. We wish to share the news of Jeonghan’s upcoming enlistment in the military, scheduled for September 26, 2024. As announced before, he will not be able to take part in the promotional activities for SEVENTEEN’s 12th mini album and the world tour. However, he will appear in various pre-recorded content," the statement read.

As per the agency, there will be no official event on the day of Jeonghan's enlistment, and the fans will be asked to refrain from visiting the site of his military service.

"Please send your heartfelt messages of support for Jeonghan through Weverse," the agency wrote.

PLEDIS added, "We ask for your continued love and support for the artist. Kindly send your best wishes for his safe and healthy return. We will also remain committed to providing Jeonghan with all the necessary support during this time."

Earlier in August, PLEDIS also announced that Jeonghan and Jun will not participate in group activities for the rest of 2024.

While Jeonghan is set to enlist in the military, Jun will pursue his acting career and other opportunities in China.

Both members will skip the upcoming "Right Here" world tour, which will kick off in South Korea on Oct. 12 and 13.

SEVENTEEN is a 13-member group composed of Vernon, Hoshi, DK, Seungkwan, Mingyu, The8, Dino, Joshua, S.Coups, Woozi, Junhui, Jeonghan, and Wonwoo. Some of their hit songs include Very Nice, Super, Rock with You, HOT, and _WORLD, among others.

They last visited the Philippines in January and held a two-night show at the Philippine Sports Stadium as part of their "Follow" world tour.
