David Licauco confirms relationship with his 'ideal woman'

David Licauco confirmed that he is "taken" during an interview in Fast Talk with Boy Abunda posted last Tuesday, June 25. The “Pambansang Ginoo,” however, did not reveal the identity of his partner.
During the interview, David told Boy Abunda that his view of love used to depend on physical features when he was younger.
“As long as maganda, siguro chinita. Tsaka masaya kausap… pag bata ka pa diba?” he said during the interview. “Siguro before parang feeling ko ang love hindi kailangan ng work. Feeling ko dapat swak lang kayo palagi,” he added.
The actor also shared how he once went to South Korea to surprise a woman he was courting at that time.
However, the Kapuso heartthrob said that his perception of love has changed as he got older.
“Now it’s really different. You have to emphatize with your partner… kailangan mong lumaban. Kailangan mong intindihin kung saan nanggagaling yung partner mo,” he said.
During the fast talk segment, David described his “ideal woman to love” to be someone who is “smart and understanding.” He, however, admitted that he is not yet ready to get married and is still focused on his career.
The young actor reportedly dated actress Sue Ramirez from 2016 to 2017, and model and flight attendant Beatrice Santos from 2019 to 2023.
In a vlog with content creator Jai Asuncion in April 2023, he revealed that he broke up with a girlfriend in January of the same year.
"Showbiz kasi medyo time-consuming. Nawalan ng oras,” he said then.
For now, David is set to bring his successful love team “BarDa” with Barbie Forteza on the big screen with their new romantic-comedy movie, That Kind of Love, which will start showing on July 10.
