Coleen Garcia bagged the Best Actress award in a recently concluded international film festival in Venezuela.
The actress excitedly shared the news on Instagram on Saturday, Dec. 3, announcing that she bagged the top prize in the acting category at the El Grito International Film Festival for her performance in Filipino film Kaluskos.
“Thank you so much to the jury for selecting me. I am so honored,” she wrote in a post, where she also expressed her gratitude to movie director Roman Perez, Jr. and Viva Films.
“Thank you, Lord, for carrying me through all of it. I learned a lot from this project, and working on it really reminded me why I love what I do!” she added.

In his Instagram stories, her husband, TV host and dancer Billy Crawford expressed his pride and happiness over her recent feat. "So proud of you, my love. Great challenges and tests of faith but God always is with you, my love, and He always sees us through. Congratulations again, my beautiful wife!" he wrote.
Also part of the 2022 Cinemalaya Film Festival, Kaluskos revolves around a single mom named Rebekah. She filed for sole custody of her daughter Amaya and ended up finding an impostor under her bed amid the custody battle with her estranged husband Jay.
