NewJeans has officially returned as a four-member group!
Midnight on July 22 brought a surprise fourth-anniversary drop on the group's official YouTube channel and social media pages.
The main video, 2026 Summer of NewJeans, features Haerin, Hyein, Minji, and Hanni crossing paths one by one along a roadside.
The channel also shared individual clips capturing each member enjoying quiet, solitary moments.
Parallel to the video release, fresh photos of the four members were published across the group's official website and social media channels.
This release is the group’s first official content together in 16 months. NewJeans made their debut in 2022 and the K-pop phenomenon is among HYBE's most successful acts.
Formerly a five-member act, the group had been embroiled in a dispute with ADOR since November 2024, when they parted ways with the label. Hanni alleged that the members and their staff faced mistreatment.
However, in March 2025, a South Korean court ruled against NewJeans. The court later decided that the five members' exclusive contracts with ADOR are valid until 2029.
Then, in December 2025, the agency announced that they had dropped Danielle as a member, saying that they "determined that it would be difficult to continue together as a NewJeans member and an ADOR artist."
