Kourtney Kardashian reveals she had ‘urgent fetal surgery,’ thanks doctors for saving baby’s life
Kourtney Kardashian revealed she underwent "urgent fetal surgery," saying that she now has a "whole new understanding and respect" for mothers who "have had to fight for their babies while pregnant."
In an Instagram post on Thursday, Sept. 7, the TV personality expressed her gratitude to her doctors and loved ones for being with her as she went through a medical emergency. “I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby’s life,” she began.
“I am eternally grateful to my husband who rushed to my side from tour to be with me in the hospital and take care of me afterwards, my rock. And to my mom, thank you for holding my hand through this,” she added.
The Kardashians star said she was in no way prepared to have an urgent fetal surgery as she had three “really easy pregnancies” in the past. “I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear. I have a whole new understanding and respect for the mamas who have had to fight for their babies while pregnant,” she mused.
“Praise be to God. Walking out of the hospital with my baby boy in my tummy and safe was the truest blessing,” Kourtney concluded.
Her husband, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker had to leave the band’s ongoing European tour and go home to the United States on Sept. 1 “due to an urgent family matter.”
"The Glasgow, Belfast, and Dublin shows are being postponed. More information in regards to his return to Europe and rescheduled dates will be provided as soon as available," Blink-182 announced in its Instagram stories.
Kourtney announced she's expecting a baby with her partner at Blink-182’s concert at the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, California on June 16. She held up a sign that read: “Travis, I’m pregnant.”
The couple sparked romance rumors in 2020 and became official a year later. They got married, although unofficially, in Las Vegas in April 2022, which was followed by an intimate courthouse ceremony in Santa Barbara in May of the same year. They also had a lavish wedding in Portofino, Italy later that month.
Kourtney shares three kids with ex-husband Scott Disick, namely Mason, Penelope, and Reign. Travis also has two children with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler.
