Bella Poarch breaks silence on divorce issue: 'Please respect my privacy'

Published Nov 09, 2022 12:18 pm

Following the unexpected reveal that Bella Poarch has been married and is now getting a divorce, the TikTok star has broken her silence and confirmed the reports of media outlets.

Poarch's marriage was first exposed by US tabloid TMZ after they obtained legal documents stating that she was married in January 2019 to a man named Tyler Poarch. However, their four-year marriage seemed to have lost its spark, as the documents detailed that she filed for a divorce due to "irreconcilable differences."

The news came as a shock to her fans and followers, as Poarch has never been seen with Tyler in either photos or videos in her social media accounts, and there are also no pictures of her wearing a wedding ring.

Three days after her marriage and divorce were revealed, Poarch took to her social media account to call on the public to respect her and her husband's privacy.

"I'm sorry if everyone thinks that I've been keeping a secret. I will address my divorce when I am ready to speak about it. In the meantime, please respect mine and Tyler's privacy," she wrote.

The Filipino-American singer went on to say that that she'll take some time away from the limelight to resolve the issue.

"My team will be taking over my socials and posting certain obligations that need to be fulfilled. I will be taking a break from social media," she wrote.

Many of her fans showered her with support and called on those criticizing her to respect her private life.

"To everyone claiming that she was lying about being married to get to you, consider that maybe she wanted to keep her love life private and that it's none of your damn business," one user commented on her post on Instagram.

"Honestly, it’s your life and it’s your privacy. That should be respected. Whoever doesn’t respect that rule is not a fan," another one wrote.

Others said, "Even though we are your supporters, you don’t own us any explanation. Take care of your mental health first and remember everything will get better also we are always by your side. We love you and please take care."

Poarch first rose to prominence on TikTok in 2020 whe she posted a video of her lip-synching to M to the B by Milie B. She has since grown her account to 92.3 million followers.
