'Never f*cking date someone in the industry': Markus Paterson talks relationships in new podcast
In a new podcast launched by Rise Artists Studio, Markus Paterson opened up about lessons he learned from past relationships, which was to not date someone from the acting industry.
The actor discussed dating and relationships with fellow actors Anthony Jennings, Jae Miranda, Gello Marquez, and Aljon Mendoza in the first episode of their Boys After Dark or B.A.D. podcast, released on Sept. 3.
"Kung may lessons ako sa mga relationships ko, [it's] to never f*cking date someone in the industry," he told Mendoza. "'Wag niyong i-cut 'yan. Seryoso ako diyan."
Paterson is known to be dating fellow actor Janella Salvador, who he shares a child with, but rumors of their split have been swirling around as of late.
His castmates proceeded to hug him after the statement while he winked at the cameras. He later reiterated this as the actors wrapped up their takeaways from the episode.
"Sa lahat ng mga nanonood na batang artista o gustong mag-artista, ‘wag kayo mag-date ng ibang babaeng artista," Paterson said.
On Sept. 3, Salvador said the last thing she was fighting for was being a "single mom" in an interview with Bernadette Sembrano, seemingly confirming their breakup.
"Talagang nilalaban ko 'yun. At the end of the day, alam kong kaya ko naman siya. As much as I love people around me who are always there to help me, I always want to know na kaya kong gawin," she said.
