Kim Atienza welcomed the laughter brought about by Camille Prats' TikToClock meme.
In the Tuesday episode of Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Atienza shared how seeing the meme gave him a much-needed break as he continues to grieve for his daughter, Emman, who passed away on Oct. 22.
"Ginawa nila sa TikToClock 'yan," Atienza recalled, talking about how the meme began.
"Nag-spiels muna sila at sinabi nila na, 'Kuya Kim, mahal ka namin. Sabay pasok si Camille Prats," Atienza said.
"Natawa 'ko, Boy. Natanggal lungkot ko. Very effective si Camille Prats sa 'kin. Talagang 'pag nakikita ko hanggang ngayon, natatawa pa rin ako," he added.
The meme, which went viral on Nov. 13 in connection with the death of former senator Juan Ponce Enrile, continues to be a great source of laughter until today, despite all the other trending topics on social media.
"Kay Juan Ponce Enrile, [may] Camille Prats [meme]. Pagdating kay Imee Marcos, Camille Prats pa rin. Miss Universe, Camille Prats pa rin. Siya na ang pambansang dopamine. Dopamine of Asia," Atienza joked.
The viral meme started during the Oct. 29 episode of TikToClock, where Atienza is one of the co-hosts. After a subdued segment where his co-hosts relayed their love and sympathy for Atienza, who was on a leave of absence from the show to grieve Emman, they announced that Camille Prats would temporarily take over for Atienza.
"Mag-ingay para sa ating paboritong mars, Camille Prats!" the hosts exclaimed as Prats came on, dancing.
Social media users found it hilarious due to the lack of a segue between the two segments. It again went viral as they mimicked the meme to accompany their sober posts about Enrile's death on Nov. 13.
