YG Entertainment has denied dating rumors involving BLACKPINK’s Rosé and its former artist, actor Kang Dang Won.

On Monday, April 17, Soompi reported that rumors began spreading about Rosé allegedly dating Peninsula actor Kang Dang Won after being spotted in a group photo during the social gathering posted by Burberry’s former creative head Riccardo Tisci.

Rosé’s agency, YG Entertainment, responded to the news, saying “It’s difficult to confirm facts related to our artist’s personal life.”

Shortly after, the agency released a statement officially denying the rumors.

“Previously, we conveyed earlier that it is not possible to confirm the artist’s personal matter in regards to Rosé, but we inform you once again as indiscriminate speculation has continued,” their statement reads.

“We reveal that the dating rumors reported today regarding Rosé are not true,” they stated, adding, “We would be grateful if you could help so that information different from the facts is not circulated.”

Rosé and Kangt Dang Won were previously labelmates, until Dang Won’s left the agency in December 2022 following the expiration of his contract.

A few days ago, Rosé was also entangled in a drug abuse issue, following a malicious tweet about her allegedly taking drugs as seen in the same photo that sparked the dating rumor. YG Entertainment firmly denied it and threatened to take “strong legal action” against those who started the gossip.

“We reveal that the rumors associated with BLACKPINK’s Rosé that are spreading on various online communities, social media, etc. are clear false information,” they began their statement, as reported by Soompi.

“We are taking legal action against acts that violate the human rights of and defame our agency artist,” they continued.

“We are currently monitoring those who created and spread the rumors, and will take strong legal action in the future without any leniency or settlement," the agency concluded the statement.
