'Friends' star Matthew Perry passes away at 54

Matthew Perry, who was best known for playing Chandler Bing on Friends, has died, according to US media. He was 54.

Citing law enforcement sources, entertainment outlet TMZ reported that the actor was found dead in a jacuzzi in his home.

According to PEOPLE Magazine, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department told the media that they responded to a call from his home about the death of a male, who was in his 50s. They, however, did not confirm his identity.

Sources told TMZ that there was no foul play involved and that no drugs were found at the scene.

Matthew portrayed the role of Chandler Bing in the hit NBC show Friends from 1994 to 2004. He also appeared in films like Fools Rush In and The Whole Nine Yards.

Rest in peace, Matthew.
