Carlos Yulo, Chloe San Jose announce engagement: 'Truly blessed'
Carlos Yulo and Chloe San Jose are now engaged.
The couple announced their engagement on social media on Monday, Sept. 28, revealing that they've been engaged for nine months.
"9 months ago… She said 'Yes,'" Carlos began in an Instagram post. "And all I can say and all I can feel, is that I am truly blessed.
Blessed to love you.
Blessed to be loved by you.
Blessed to have you as my fiancé and, soon, as my forever."
"Mahal ko, pangako kong aalagaan, mamahalin, at poprotektahan kita sa lahat ng panahon. Sa hirap at ginhawa, sa saya at pagsubok, pipiliin kita araw-araw. At sa biyaya ng Diyos, makakasama kita hanggang sa buhay na walang hanggan," he added.
He also thanked God "for blessing us with this wonderful moment and for allowing us to experience a love that is guided by You."
"We’re so grateful that the Lord has always been with us through everything that happens in our lives, sa lahat ng pagsubok, saya, at bawat biyayang dumarating sa amin," he continued. "Thank You, Lord, for writing our story so beautifully and for being with us every step of the way. Here’s to our love, our faith, and forever together."
Chloe also shared the news in an IG carousel.
"For 9 months, we’ve been treasuring this beautiful secret between us, quietly smiling to ourselves and taking our time to cherish it, knowing that one day we’d finally share it with the world," she wrote, sharing photos from Carlos' marriage proposal.
"It started with a simple 'Hi, I’m a fan po.' Neither of us could have known where that little message would take us," she mused.
"And from there, life became a collection of airports, competitions, hotel rooms, long training days, little adventures, big dreams, and countless moments in between. I got to watch you chase your dreams, and you let me be beside you through the biggest moments of your life. We grew up together. We learned together. We fought for each other, protected each other, supported each other, and built a life of our own."
"Mahal ko, I would choose you in every lifetime. And now, we get to choose each other for the rest of this one," she concluded.
Carlos and Chloe have been a couple for six years. They've been engaged since Dec. 18, 2025.
