‘Vincenzo’s’ Song Joong-ki and Jeon Yeo-been reunite at wrap-up party

More than a year after its finale, fans of the hit South Korean series Vincenzo have been on a frenzy on social media, and that's because the show's lead cast members Song Joong-ki and Jeon Yeo-been have reunited at a wrap-up party for the first time since the show ended in May 2021.

Videos of the wrap-up party have been circulating on Twitter, and viewers who fell in love with the crime drama series have been gushing at Song and Jeon being together again.

Vincenzo follows the story of its titular character Vincenzo Cassano, an Italian lawyer and a consigliere for the mafia. After their leader, Don Fabio, tragically dies, his biological son and the new leader of the Cassano Family attempts to kill Vincenzo.

Escaping with his life, he returns to Korea to recover some hidden gold, but his plan gets sidetracked when he learns that Babel, a group of very corrupt companies, has illegally taken ownership of the building where the gold is. Vincenzo must now use his skills to reclaim the property and recover his fortunes.

Despite the show eventually becoming one of the highest-rated Korean dramas in cable television history, it never really celebrated its successful run with a wrap-up party, which was likely due to the COVID-19 pandemic—until recently.

Fans of the show took to Twitter to express their joy at seeing the cast and crew reunited again, and have already been asking if a second season will be coming soon.

"I just missed seeing them together. Happy to see them both smiling and laughing with the Vincenzo cast and crew. They had fun last night and I'm sure they missed these people," one user tweeted.

"Vincenzo had a wrap-up party after almost two years. See their effect on me? They are still by far the best team no matter what I do, I keep coming back. Bringing back the best fam on K-drama land," another one raved.

Despite the countless calls for a renewal, tvN remains silent on continuing Vincenzo for a second season.
