Julia Barretto denies claims of being irritated during a press conference
Actress Julia Barretto has issued a statement online regarding the issue where she was accused of displaying an annoyed attitude during the press conference for the movie Will You Be My Ex? last June.
In the now-deleted viral video, Julia seemed to express her frustration with how “noisy” the crowd was at the event.
The actress herself sought to clarify the statement online, stating that the post was “false” and that the comments she made in that press conference were not addressed toward the press, but at the attendees who were present during the press conference.
“Hello. This is false. I was referring to some people who appeared to be inattentive to the ongoing event, NOT the PRESS,” she explained.
The actress added, “Media conferences always provide the space for us to engage in conversations with our friends from the press.”
She also stated that during the press conference, it was becoming more challenging for them to hear each other due to the commotions at the event, noting that “we were trying to answer their questions, and it was becoming a bit difficult to hear each other.”
It is to be noted that the now-deleted post that blogger Irvine posted was about events that occurred last June, with the actress pointing out the timing of the now-deleted post, stating, “Why now?”
She concludes her post by saying the situation is just “Clickbait.”
Julia’s last high-profile controversy happened in 2019 involving fellow actors Gerald Anderson and Bea Alonzo, in which she was accused as the third party in the separation of Bea and Gerald in July 2019. The actor admitted in March 2021 that he and Julia are in a relationship.
