Carla Abellana was asked about her ex-husband Tom Rodriguez, who recently shared he has found love again after their split.

In an interview on GMA's 24 Oras, the actress said she "[doesn't] see the need to comment or to even react" to Tom's revelation about his love life.

"Parang it's not of my concern anymore, parang ganun," she said.

Carla said she's aware that Tom is back in the Philippines after being in the United States for two years, adding that she's ready to face him in case they cross paths again.

"Kung dahil sa trabaho, prepared naman ako. Nasabi ko naman na 'yun—na kung mag-krus ang landas namin, whether sa studio or what, guesting, kung ano man 'yan, prepared naman ako for that," she added.

"You know, I’ll just be myself. I’ll let him be," she continued.

Tom's manager, Popoy Caritativo, revealed that the actor is back in the country in January as he shared a photo of them taken at a restaurant in Mandaluyong City.

Tom and Carla got married in October 2021 after a 7-year relationship. They sparked breakup rumors after Carla was spotted without her wedding ring in early 2022. Tom also deactivated his Instagram account a few days after social media users noticed that Carla was no longer in his following and follower list.

Tom, who is an American citizen, announced their divorce in June 2022 without getting into much detail about their split. “I left the Philippines for the US last March 13, with the realization that despite all my efforts, Carla had already given up on our marriage,” he said in a statement posted by his manager. “It was not a perfect relationship, but we both know how much we loved each other,” he said.

Early this month, Tom revealed he's now seeing someone. "Once I was ready, it came at the right time. At that point, I thought it would never happen again," he said, opting to keep the identity of his partner to himself.
