Actress Kristen Bell officially announced Disney’s Frozen 3 on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, but with a catch.

Bell, who played the voice of Anna in the first two movies, was on the show to promote her children’s book The World Needs More Purple Schools.

While discussing her new book coming up on the Tonight Show on Monday night (June 20), host Jimmy Fallon highlighted a reference to the 2013 movie that made him ask about the possibility of a third Frozen film.

"I feel like if we’re all in, like, what are we waiting for? We want it. Let’s do it," Bell said.

"I would… like to officially announce, with zero authority, Frozen 3," then she quickly added "Please bear in mind I did say 'zero authority’ because I can't do that. I can't do that. No, I'm not in charge."

The animated feature film Frozen, released in 2013 was a massive hit for Disney that grossed over 1.2 billion dollars. The 2019 sequel Frozen 2, set three years after the first film, also made a big box office splash. Frozen 2 followed sisters Anna and Elsa, Kristoff, his reineer Sven and snowman Olaf as they travel to an enchanted forest to unravel the origin of Elsa's magical power.

Despite not having the authority to make a formal announcement on a third film, Bell expressed that she and co-star Idina Menzel, who voiced Elsa, are interested in playing the sister duo for another time.

"Well, you know, I'm... I'll keep it mysterious, but I know Idina recently said she would do it and I feel like if we're all in,” the Veronica Mars star stated.

The first Disney animated film won two Academy Awards for best animated feature film of the year and best achievement in music for original song - Let it Go. Disney's other recent musical hits include Encanto and Moana.
