Cesar Montano, Sunshine Cruz's eldest daughter Angelina is 'very happy' her parents have 'no bad blood' anymore
The eldest daughter of Cesar Montano and Sunshine Cruz is "very happy" that her parents have "no bad blood" anymore.
"Honestly, it makes me very happy. And it really warms my heart knowing there's no bad blood,” said Angelina Cruz in an interview with entertainment reporter MJ Felipe.
“It’s all just good vibes. I'm glad that we're like this and that it's just full of love," Angelina added.
Cesar, her partner Kath Angeles as well as Sunshine and their other daughters, Sam and Chesca, recently went to Bali in Indonesia to celebrate Chesca’s 18th birthday. They were also with Diego Loyzaga, Cesar's son with actress Teresa Loyzaga, and young actors Leon Barretto and Kyle Echarri.
“We had a lot of fun. I feel like that trip really made all of us closer as a family," Angelina said.
Cesar also shared photos of the trip, greeting Chesca a happy birthday and calling her his lookalike.
Cesar and Sunshine got married in 2000.
In 2013, Sunshine petitioned for annulment amid Cesar’s alleged infidelity. She also accused him of performing lewd acts in front of their daughters, prompting her to file a child abuse case against him in 2015. The annulment was finalized in 2018.
After Cesar, Sunshine found love in businessman Macky Mathay, though they broke up in 2022 after six years of being together.
Cesar and Sunshine reunited during Sam's 18th birthday in August 2022. In an interview with Star Magic Inside News in the same month, Sam revealed that she and her sisters “have all started becoming very, very close” to their father. “Just this year din po, I got to meet my other siblings with dad’s new partner Tita Kath. She’s very nice. It’s just amazing how we’ve all gotten closer together and God has given us another chance to, you know, build a new, another relationship with our dad,” she said.
The former couple's last publicized reunion was during Angelina's 22nd birthday last September.
