Gordon Ramsay is coming to Manila this January
Dreaming of tasting dishes prepared by the master chef himself, Gordon Ramsay? Then don't miss this opportunity as the celebrity cook announced that he will personally be cooking for guests who will dine at Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill Philippines.
On Facebook, the official page of his first-ever restaurant in the country posted an image of his classic Fish & Chips, which is described as a "battered Pink Pacific grouper served with crispy fried potato fries, crushed peas and tartare sauce" and priced at P2,100.
"Best enjoyed with a glass of ice-cold draft beer," the description added.
Ramsay later shared the post on his own page and expressed his excitement about making the dish himself for Filipino diners.
"Can’t wait to serve this to everyone when I’m in the Philippines next week," he wrote.
Gordon Ramsay Bar & Grill Philippines opened at Newport World Resorts in Pasay City in late August.
The food spot gives Filipinos a taste of the internationally renowned chef's signature dishes such as Ramsay's Signature Beef Wellington, which is priced at P3,888.
There are also refreshing appetizers like Classic Caesar Salad (P650) and Aged Steak Tartare (P1,650) as well as caviar and oysters ranging from P2,400 to P8,000.
The most affordable main dish at the restaurant is the Red Pepper Risotto, Basil (P850), though you may also opt for grilled salmon (P1,500), char-grilled chicken (P1,200), or wagyu burger (P1,450).
Other stars of the menu are the Australian Aged Beef Tomahawk MBS (P15,500) and the Grilled Maine Lobster Thermidor (P2,400/P4,588).
In the comments section, many Filipinos gushed at his upcoming visit to the country and highlighted how they're excited to try the dish personally prepared by Ramsay.
"I will definitely visit your restaurant in Newport with my siblings. I have just tried so far one of your restaurants in Doha Qatar at St. Regis Hotel and the food is really delicious," one user commented.
Another wrote, "Tried as many from the menu. But the Fish & Chips was a standout. The pinnacle. Would dine again. Lobster was okay. But definitely Fish & Chips should be on everyone’s table."
Ramsay is a multi-Michelin-starred chef who has opened various restaurants in different parts of the world. He’s best known for cooking shows such as Kitchen Nightmares, Hell’s Kitchen, Hotel Hell, and MasterChef US.
While he did not specify the exact dates of his visit to the Philippines, it is expected to happen between Jan. 20 to 26.
