Jeonghan will be wearing a cast at SEVENTEEN’s upcoming “Be The Sun” world tour due to his elbow injury.

In an official statement, Pledis Entertainment confirmed that Jeonghan has been “receiving conservative treatment” for lateral epicondylitis and tendon damage in his right elbow. However, due to the worsening of his condition, surgery was deemed necessary on June 15.

The operation was successful, and the artist has been recuperating after being discharged as of Thursday the 16th. JEONGHAN will be wearing a cast for the time being, as well as a brace in order to protect the treated area, and to aid in a faster recovery,” Pledis said.

Despite his injury, the music label said Jeonghan is “still highly determined” to move forward with SEVENTEEN’s activities including their upcoming “Be The Sun” world tour which will kick off on June 25 at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul.

Of course, Carats expressed their support and concern for Jeonghan’s recovery.

Another fan said that Jeonghan and the group do not need to “feel bad,” stating that “as long as you guy(s) stay together, everything will be better for sure.”

Since Jeonghan chose to push through with his activities, a fan hoped that he’ll “prioritize” his “health and safety.”

Jeonghan debuted as the lead vocalist and visual of Seventeen in May 2015. The 13-member boy group is also composed of members S.coups, Wonwoo, Mingyu, Vernon, Woozi, Joshua, DK, Seungkwan, Hoshi, Jun, The8, and Dino.

The group is set to visit the Philippines for their “Be The Sun” tour this October.
