Nadine Lustre saves 5 puppies from being tossed in the river, calls for possible adopters
Nadine Lustre proved that she will not let a bad deed slide when she saved five puppies, sharing that she is now looking for possible adoptive pawrents.
In an Instagram story, Nadine posted a picture of three of five brown and black-colored puppies she saved. In the caption, she revealed that they nearly suffered an inhumane fate after their previous owner ordered them to be tossed into the river to drown.
"Came across five puppies at our location yesterday (we could't find the other two last night so they're not in the picture)," Nadine wrote. "The crew told us that the owner is planning to toss them in the river if no one would take them because there are 'too many dogs' around."
Nadine initially thought that it was just some sort of "sick joke," but when she was told that the owner was actually serious about it, she decided to step up and save the puppies from the heartless act.
"The tanod offered to help me out and gather the puppies for me to pick up on Thursday. I'll be taking care of them in the meantime while we're still looking for a new home for them," the actress wrote.
She stressed, "I just couldn't stand thinking they might die when I could've done something to help."
Nadine shared that two of the puppies are already accounted for and called on concerned individuals to inform her if they have any interest in welcoming them into their home.
