ARMYs, we know you're excited for BTS member Jin, but BIGHIT Music released an update ahead of his military discharge.

According to Soompi, the K-pop group agency requested fans to refrain from visiting the site due to safety concerns and "to prevent any issues arising from overcrowding."

"Jin is close to completing his active service in the army and will soon be discharged," the statement read, adding that the discharge day is reserved for military personnel only. Hence, no special events are planned on the day of the idol's discharge.

"To prevent any issues arising from overcrowding, fans are strongly advised to refrain from visiting the site. Please convey your warm regards and encouragement in your hearts,"

BIGHIT also extends its gratitude to the fans for their support for Jin.

"We are always grateful for your unwavering love and support for Jin. Our company will continue to put our utmost effort into supporting our artists.

Earlier this month, BIGHIT also announced that the K-pop powerhouse will be holding an in-person event to celebrate 2024 BTS FESTA, "the group's yearly celebration of the anniversary of their debut."

In line with the celebration, the 31-year-old sub-vocalist of the group will be celebrating BTS's anniversary by greeting fans in person at Seoul's Jamsil Arena on June 13, one day after he is discharged from the military on June 12.

"This event was prepared in order to fulfill Jin's wish to spend meaningful time with ARMY in person on BTS's debut day. We invite you to join us as we express our gratitude for your unwavering love for BTS," the statement read.

Lucky fans will be engaged in two different sessions with the K-pop star. One of these sessions will involve fans sharing a "light hug" or a handshake with Jin upon winning a raffle. This is expected to last about three hours.

Moreover, the second session will be a "Message from Jin" to showcase "various performances that the ARMY wishes to see."

Likewise, BIGHIT MUSIC added, "The 2024 FESTA in-person event with Jin will be held for the Weverse shop GLOBAL purchasers of albums (including solo albums)."

Jin, or Kim Seok-jin, started his mandatory South Korean military duty on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2022. He is the band's first member to enlist since their hiatus announcement.

In 2023, the group's oldest member gave his fans an exciting update about his life in the army. He was promoted to the rank of Corporal earlier than scheduled, allowing him to have several perks, such as wearing a special emblem on uniforms, getting promoted earlier than his peers, and being allowed to take extra leaves of four to five days.
