Actress Kelley Day has denied the allegations that she was involved in the rumored split of newly married couple, Tom Rodriguez and Carla Abellana.

In a statement via Instagram Stories, the Miss Eco International 2021 first runner-up dispelled the rumors without mentioning any names.

"I don't know how or why my name has become linked, but what I do know is these accusations about me are false," Day began.

She explained that she traveled to the United Kingdom to attend the funeral of a family member and to spend time with her family in the country.

"I'm not pregnant (nor have I ever been)," she said. "I have never had anything close to romantic involvement/interest with the person."

"I have, and always will the utmost respect for the couple. They have always treated me with kindness."

She then urged her fans to take caution in choosing what to believe online.

The rumors came after showbiz columnist Cristy Fermin alluded to Day as the one causing marital problems between Carla and Tom just three months after tying the knot.

Fermin said that the third party had worn a crown in the past, referenced the word "Day," and that she and Tom spent time together in a lock-in taping for a TV show. Day and Rodriguez previously worked together in the GMA series The Worlds Between Us.

Tom and Carla first sparked separation rumors after the pair briefly unfollowed each other on Instagram.

On Jan. 25, Tom also shared a cryptic post with the words: “And now you're leaving just like that. Why do you have to go? Why are you leaving? Where are you going? What are you gonna do? Just throw away your life like it was nothing?"

They are now back to being mutuals.

The couple got married in Batangas last October 2021 after being together for over seven years.
