Kris Aquino clarifies her 'happy and full of love relationship' is different from reality
Kris Aquino has finally admitted that she is in love with a special someone but the "happy and full of relationship" that people have been talking about is, in fact, different from reality.
Kris revealed this in an Instagram post on Monday, June 19. Although the "queen of all media" did not identify who she is currently in a relationship with, her revelations allude to the statement of her rumored boyfriend Mark Leviste in a June 15 interview with TeleRadyo.
At that time, the Batangas vice governor said that finding inspiration and happiness is important to him, as "a happy vice governor, makes a happy province."
"Kailangan meron tayong pinaghuhugutan ng inspirasyon at ligaya," he said.
When asked if his heart is happy now, he quipped, “Hindi lang happy, full of love, love, love!"
Leviste went on to reveal that he is now in Los Angeles to accompany Kris who is getting treatment for her autoimmune diseases while her youngest son Bimby is in Manila.
Days after Leviste's update made rounds online, Kris took to Instagram to set the record straight.
The actress shared a photo of a quote by American writer Dale Carnegle that says, "Nothing can bring you peace but yourself," and wrote in the caption that a certain "someone" talked about her relationship with him publicly without her consent and that they are, in fact, going through some rough patches like any other couple.
Kris began, "For my peace of mind, just the facts: without my knowledge or consent, someone spoke about what’s supposed to be his 'taking care of me in LA' plus 'our happy and full of love relationship' - yet just like any new relationship many couples will easily identify, we are still adjusting to each other’s already set habits & ways."
"Recently there have been unavoidable conflicts. i don’t believe in presenting a happy picture when that’s not quite our current reality," she continued. "I’m hopeful we can still work through our differences, though a part of me realizes the lack of wisdom in embarking on a relationship while undergoing treatment."
Apart from this, Kris said that she has since been giving Bimby "the freedom to decide" on his own. Without going into detail, she also expressed how proud she is of her son for taking the initiative to rebuild a relationship she knows "will require some time to repair" during Father's Day.
Kris and Leviste began sparking dating rumors after the politician posted about spending Valentine's Day and Kris' birthday in the US with her last Feb. 15. The actress has been undergoing treatment for her five autoimmune diseases since June 2022.
