Liam Payne's 9-year-old son to inherit entire $29 million estate
Liam Payne's son has been named the sole inheritor of the late One Direction alum's multi-million dollar estate.
Per documents obtained by PEOPLE, his son, Bear, 9, will receive part of his father's $29,007,998 (about P1.7 billion) estate now, while the rest will be held in a trust until Bear turns 18.
Payne died at 31 on Oct. 16, 2024 after he accidentally fell off his hotel balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Authorities later said his death was caused by several traumatic injuries and internal and external hemorrhage.
He passed away without a will. According to UK law, per BBC, if a deceased leaves no will and lacks a spouse or civil partner, their estate would normally go to their children.
At the time of Payne's death, court documents placed the gross value of his UK estate at $38 million (about P2.3 billion), with a net value of about $32.2 million (about P1.9 billion).
In May 2025, a court named Payne's former partner Cheryl Cole, 42, who is also the mother of his son, the administrator of the singer's estate. Also named administrator was attorney Richard Mark Bray. At his death, Payne was in a relationship with influencer Kate Cassidy.
A report from BBC stated that Cole and Bray will "manage the money, but they currently have limited authority and cannot distribute it."
