LIST: Celebrities who graduated in 2026
2026 saw several celebrities don their togas and earn their diplomas.
Whether they balanced their lives as students and artists or briefly stepped away from the spotlight to focus on their education, these stars showed their strong dedication to learning. Some proved that it's possible to juggle school and showbiz, while others proved it's never too late to reach their dreams.
PhilSTAR L!fe has listed down the local celebrities who graduated this year and certainly made their families and fans proud.
Epy Quizon
In February, Epy Quizon shared on Instagram that he had graduated from De La Salle University's College of Liberal Arts three decades after he paused his studies to pursue his acting career.
"You showed your siblings that perseverance runs in your shared blood. You proved to your children that a vow, no matter how delayed, is sacred," he wrote in a social media post, dedicating his achievement to his mom and his late dad, Comedy King Dolphy.
Quizon is known for portraying a younger Markova in Markova: Comfort Gay and Apolinario Mabini in Goyo: Ang Batang Heneral.
Geneva Cruz
In March, actress-singer Geneva Cruz shared that she earned a degree in Business Administration at the Philippine Christian University at age 49, just before her golden year.
"This is for nineteen-year-old Gen, who had to grow up fast and work hard after choosing to become a young mom. Thank you for being brave and for finally learning to love yourself," she wrote on social media.
Geneva, along with cousins Sheryl and Sunshine, was a famous teen star in the 90s. She was the lead vocalist of Smokey Mountain, known for the songs Kailan and Da Coconut Nut.
BINI Stacey and BINI Sheena
In April, both BINI members Sheena Catacutan and Stacey Sevilleja officially finished senior high school at JPI Technologies, Training and Services Inc., where their co-members also graduated.
BINI's official social media pages posted photos of the two wearing their graduation toga. "You did it, [BINI Sheena] and [BINI Stacey]! You balanced senior high school and BINI life so well... this milestone is truly well-deserved! We’re so proud of you both!" the caption read.
“Congratulations, my love Bini Stacey Sevilleja. Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans. -Proverbs 16:3,” Sevilleja's mom wrote on a separate Facebook post.
Lorin Bektas
Ruffa Gutierrez's eldest daughter Lorin earned her degree from Pepperdine University on May 4.
On Instagram, the actress and former beauty queen wrote, "Congratulations to my beautiful firstborn! Cheers to new beginnings!!! So proud of you, @loringabriella."
Lorin and Venice Bektas are Gutierrez's daughters with her ex-husband, Turkish Businessman Yilmaz Bektas.
Erika Rae Poturnak
Erika Poturnak, Ina Raymundo's firstborn with non-showbiz husband Brian Poturnak, graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston on May 10.
"Congratulations, Erika! You made us very proud and Dad couldn’t stop crying. Best Mother’s Day gift ever! Woohoo!" Raymundo captioned her Instagram post, saying the milestone is the best Mother's Day gift she received.
She added that Poturnak didn't get to have a proper high school graduation during the pandemic, making the achievement extra special.
