Yasmien Kurdi's second daughter is bursting with cuteness!

The actress just did a face reveal of her newborn on her Instagram page as she shared her baby's name. In the video she posted, her bundle of joy could be seen relaxing in her crib.

"Hello, I’m new here! My name is Raya Layla. And I’m the new ruler of the cutie pies," Yasmien wrote in the caption.

She also said that Raya was born on April 28 at 3:06 p.m., including the hashtags #TaurusBabyGirl, #TheThirdDragon, and #GreenWoodDragon in the caption.

Yasmien gave another glimpse of her daughter in her Instagram stories, where she quoted lyrics from the song Beautiful Day (Thank You for Sunshine) by Jermaine Edwards, Rushawn, and TRINIX.

"Lord, I thank you for sunshine. Thank you for rain. Thank you for joy. Thank you for pain. It's a beautiful day-ay-ay-ay-ay," she wrote.

The Kapuso star previously revealed that she welcomed Raya via cesarean section due to "many high-risk possible scenarios." She initially wanted to deliver her second daughter via VBAC (vaginal birth after cesarean) or normal delivery.

"After a series of tests, nalaman namin na manipis pa din pala ang CS scar ko even after 11 years—not a good indication. 'Di na namin itinuloy because of many high-risk possible scenarios and we opted for CS the day I labored," she wrote in an Instagram post.

"We also found out during the procedure that the baby had a cord coil. It actually was a good call that we opted CS because if we tried VBAC we would have ended up doing CS still," she added.

Yasmien referred to C-section as a "lifesaving procedure" for women like her, adding that she decided to go through it as she wanted to do "whatever it took to get [her] baby out healthy and safe."

Yasmien tied the knot with her non-showbiz husband, Rey Soldevilla, in 2012. They also welcomed their firstborn, Ayesha in that same year. The family announced in November 2023 that they were expecting their second child.
